Straw Tower
Students in teams of 2 will attempt to build the strongest straw tower. Each team will construct a tower using only 50 drinking straws and 2 meters of masking tape, the tower that supports the most mass will gain more points. The greatest score wins!
A is for Anatomy
This event is similar to the game Operations, participants will be able to identify different body parts and where they are.
Reflection Replay
Three team members each supplied with a pocket mirror, cooperate to direct a light beam (from a flashlight, laser pointer, etc) onto a predetermined target.
Weather Or Not
Students will be playing a game of jeopardy where they will be asked weather related questions based off meteorological topics, terms, techniques, and events.
Quiz Bowl
Quiz Bowl will encompass the areas of earth science, life science, and physical sciences, students will be compete against each other in a buzzer style challenge.
Leaf and Tree Finder
Two participants will be asked to identify various trees, leafs and tree part samples. Students will play a game of match, and the most accurate answers will win!
Map Reading
Individual contestants will be given two-part questions, which can be answered by using various kinds of maps.
